This was the sweet night, the Christmas night, a year ago when I wrote my first post on #Nostr. It was Edward Snowden and jack on Twitter who drew my attention to #Nostr. (Now I don't interact on Twitter anymore.)

I remember I heard Nostr to be a "blockchain based" network (which was wrong). 😛 Out of thin imagination, I explained to myself that it's censorship-resistant only because it's blockchain-based. 😁😀

I registered on #Amethyst before #Christmas but I had no idea about "relays" etc. So nothing showed up on my personal feed. I was greatly confused. Then desperately I posted my first post seeking help. Nobody replied. Nobody. 😢🤐

I was not hopeless.

I smelt freedom in the air (and such a freedom-fucker I am), so I stayed there totally alone with a blank feed, having no connection to anybody for four months. Then in April my fellow #pleb isolabell.art 🎨 responded to my Christmas post. I feel so grateful to this artist. 💜❤️💛

I feel so happy that #nostr exists. After traveling uncertainty through #Diaspora, #Minds, #Mastodon and various other apps in #Fediverse, I have reached #Nostr in quest of freedom. I love freedom of thoughts and expressions as it is practiced in #Nostrverse.

Freedom is unconditional. Freedom can be attained only through freedom. And I am the limit of my freedom— only me.

I feel grateful to fiatjaf and other wonderful devs for making Nostr so live, so colorful, so innovative. What a year, what a roller coaster ride for me. Cities after cities are being built in a damn desert before my eyes— what a joy to watch and explore. I love ODELL, ثعبان, PABLOF7z, Derek Ross, Gigi and so many other devs so much.

What about using Orbot with #Nostr clients that offer an inbuilt mechanism of doing that like #Amethyst? Does any other client offer support, utxo the webmaster 🧑‍💻? Or just any good device-wise vpn does the job?

Life is not Binary but I felt really helpless.

After writing and previewing the post on #HablaNews I refreshed my habla.news/newton page on a new tab (on Firefox and on Chrome but The new post didn't appear there. Later I checked my #Nostr timeline on iris.to and snort.social. It was not there either. Later I discovered that only #Amethyst was catching it immediately.

I'm not making any complaint, be sure. I'm very happy with everything on #Nostr. I live in my dreams. Dreams are more real to me than the so-called reality. Everything #Nostr in different ways are translating my dreams. I am experiencing my most happy time online since 1997 when I joined the internet.

In particular Habla has become the place for me to write my mind. I hope you guys and other friends on #Nostr will bear with those duplications.

My bad luck, #Amethyst didn't work for me on my Samsung A03s Android with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage.

It's stuck on my phone. It won't move. I suffered heavily for so many days. It gathers more or less 1GB of cache more or less every half an hour.

After the last update it worked good on my phone but for one day only. Sometimes my university LAN gets very slow. That may be a reason. I added some more relays with no improvement. I don't blame Amethyst at all. A lot of people use it. Edward Snowden paused it.

Eventually I'm liking #Plebstr. Small cache. Works fine on my rather slow internet. Above all I'm able again to browse #Nostr. So many things here to learn.

Thanks #Nostr. Thanks for the ever growing variety and scope for the users to choose the right at for them.
